Game Drives

What would a bushveld adventure be without a game drive? Two daily game drives which are headed by a skilled, experienced ranger or tracker in order to give guests a better chance of viewing the camp’s wildlife up close and personal. Game drives are best at dawn and dusk and at Kilima Private Game Reserve and Spa both these options are available.
Morning drives start before sunrise when guests gather for light morning refreshments before heading out to the buffalo and sable breeding project. While driving to the project’s basecamp, guests are likely to come across numerous other game en-route.

The night drive starts shortly before sun set with guests convening at the main camp before heading out, while sipping sundowners en-route. Although game activity is usually bustling at this time of day, and a delight to see and experience, an added spectacle is watching the sun go down over the majestical Murchinson Mountain range from a characteristical African sun deck, which is shaded by one of the lodge’s most remarkable features – a striking, age-old Baobab.
As darkness descends, the game viewing vehicle leisurely starts to make its way to the main camp while the professional tracker uses the on-board spotlight to pick out the glinting eyes of nocturnal animals.
